This Scentsy review is going to focus on the direct selling, multi-level marketing side of the company.
So if you want more information about the products then visit the Scentsy website.
Keep reading if you want to learn how to market this business the right way and actually get results.
But first let’s address the Scentsy scam.
Scentsy Scam: True of False?
Scentsy recruits independent distributors to market and promote their business.
This is also known as direct selling and multi-level marketing/network marketing.
These words usually set off red flags and scam alerts because so many people have tried and failed.
The problem I see with traditional offline marketing companies is everyone is taught old-school marketing methods such as:
- making a list of friends and family to teach out to
- passing out brochures and DVDs to spread the word
- cold-calling and hosting home parties
- 3way calls with your upline
- and so on and so forth
Here’s the downside. These people are not the best leads for your business. You are wasting your time and energy trying to convince friends, family, and business acquaintances to join your business opportunity.
The better way to market your Scentsy business is on the internet.
There are thousands of people searching for information regarding Scentsy every month.
These people are what I call “pre-qualified leads” because they have already shown interest and are thus much more likely to convert into a business partner or customer.
Imagine how fast you can grow your business and how much money you can make if you were to scoop up a fraction of that search traffic.
5 Steps to Growing Your Scentsy Business
1.) Start a blog
A blog is how people will learn about you and what you do.
You can showcase your personality in a way that attracts customers to you.
People want to work with people who they like and trust, not random strangers.
Be authentic and don’t try and be someone else.
Everyone who markets a business online needs a blog, period, so use this mlm blog tutorial to set yours up.
2.) Do Keyword Research and Create Content
Most people blog with no direction. They don’t know what to blog about or how to keep it going.
You want to identify what your target audience is typing into the search engines so that you can create content that caters to their search.
Don’t worry if this seems over your head. I explain how to do all of this in my free blogging course.
3.) Market and Promote Your Content
You want to get your content in front of as many targeted eyeballs as possible.
You can do this by sharing your stuff across social media but also ranking your content in the search engines.
This is known as SEO or search engine optimization, and it’s something that most people freak out over but it’s really simple to learn.
4.) Get people to Subscribe to your Email List
The first goal you should have with your blog is to get people to subscribe to your email newsletter.
When people subscribe to your email list then you have permission to follow up with them at a later date via email.
This is how you build a relationship with your audience.
If you don’t capture the email address then you cannot follow up with your visitors at a later date.
There is no guarantee that they will ever visit your site again, and you may miss out on a potential sale.
5.) Continue to Give Value
You always want to be giving value to your email list and to your audience.
Send them new blog posts, new videos, testimonials, teach them something new, and tell them how you can help them.
Remember, the marketer with the most value wins. Use this mlm autoresponder to set your emails up the right way.
Obviously there is a lot more I can teach you, but that’s a good starting point.
