Top 10 Juicy Network Marketing Secrets Exploited

May 4, 2014 0 Comments

I see more and more people turning to the internet to find ways to make extra money online.

The painful part is watching those people switch from company to company hoping that each new product will have cutting-edge network marketing secrets that they haven’t seen before.

I’ve also noticed a lot of these newcomers are struggling with getting started and they are not seeing the results that they desire.

It is such the reason why I have compiled this list of my Top 10 Juicy Network Marketing Secrets to help cut the learning curve and get you into profit much faster.

Network Marketing Secrets to Explode Your 6-Figure Business

1. Modeling

It is a critical step to align with a(n) successful mentor(s) regardless of how long you have been in the industry. Experienced mentors have been in the trenches, they know the good from the bad, the right from the wrong, and they are your “shortcut” to success.

Now, don’t take the word “shortcut” the wrong way. There are no shortcuts in life, and there are certainly no shortcuts to making a lucrative living with network marketing.

However, there is serious benefit to knowing right away what works and what doesn’t work, so that you maximize your efforts and minimize your mistakes.

Success leaves blueprints, so dissect your mentor’s formula for success, and replicate that to a “T”. This is the best way to create a hot start right out of the gate.

I also want to note that choosing the right mentor should be a timely process and not a quick, emotional decision just because you want to get started right away.

Everyone will claim to have experience and success in the network marketing space, but not all will be telling the truth.

Obviously, we have all heard the phrase “fake it until you make it,” so I suggest doing your due diligence and research before tying the knot.

The difference between a good mentor and a GREAT mentor can make all of the difference, so choose wisely and with conviction.

2. Attraction Marketing

Attraction marketing is about branding and promoting yourself in a captivating way so that your target audience wants to do business with you.

Keep in mind how you are promoting yourself online using different marketing channels like Facebook, YouTube, Blog, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.

What first impression do you give off and how do people perceive you? In Malcolm Gladwell’s book Blink, he describes this as “thin-slicing.”

Thin-slicing is “observing a small selection of an interaction, usually less than 5 minutes, and being able to accurately draw to conclusions in the emotions and attitudes of the people interacting.”

In other words, it is a snapshot judgement that someones makes about you in a short amount of time. Take advantage of this theory and position yourself so that people conclude the BEST possible judgements about you.

Lastly, attraction marketing is about being authentic and REAL. People want to know who you are, what you do, how you have achieved the lifestyle you have created or the results that you have earned, and they want to know how you can help them achieve their goals.

Don’t hide behind the curtain; expose yourself. Share the good and the bad, the wins and the losses, the struggles and the triumphs.

People connect with people.

3. Leverage

Network marketing secret #3 is leverage. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, leverage is a network marketers best friend.

It is simply using something to its maximum advantage. Here are three simple ways to use leverage to grow your opportunity.

  • Leverage other people’s success – if you are new to the industry then you won’t have past success to promote. However, there is someone inside your company, whether it be your mentor, another leader in the company, a team member, or someone who just made their first sale. These individuals all have success stories that you can leverage yourself. So the next time someone asks you about your success in the industry, you can tell them, “My mentor made $XYZ last month, and I am using the same marketing strategies that he uses to get results online.”
  • Leverage other peoples/company’s products there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Leverage what has already been created for you, whether that is existing training inside of your company’s back-office, or external training that a leader or team member created. Present this as a valuable resource that your prospect will get access to if he partners with you.
  • Leverage other people‘s time – why would you spend an hour doing an $8 task when you can outsource it to someone else? If I asked you, ” Is your time was worth more than $8/hr?” I would bet my left foot that you would say yes. So why would you spend that hour doing mindless tasks like building backlinks, spinning-content, or proof-editing a bunch of blog posts or documents. You can find someone on to do that for you for $5!

I heard an awesome quote the other day, “Do what you do best, and hire out the rest.

Pat Flynn had an exceptional interview about hiring virtual assistants.

4. Treat this as a Business, NOT a Hobby.

Most people who get involved with network marketing are just dipping their toes in the water. They just want to “try it out.”

Is that the same attitude you would have if you were the owner of your own brick-and-motor store? Absolutely not. So why would you come in with the same attitude with network marketing?

Just because it is an online business doesn’t mean the expected commitment or effort is any different than an offline business.

Nobody joins this industry because they love their current life. They join because it is the best way to get out of their situation.

However, if you treat this opportunity like a hobby, and you only put a few hours into it on the weekends then you are doomed to fail.

You will be out the door quick, calling it a scam, and blaming everyone except yourself. The hard truth is that this business is not for the weak-minded and lazy.

On the contrary, if you treat your network marketing opportunity as a business, and you are willing to put in the blood, sweat, tears, and sacrifice that every other successful entrepreneur has gone through, this will be a very rewarding experience for you.

The ones who are successful are the ones who close their back door and don’t have a plan B or a secondary option in case things don’t work out.

If you have the mentality of, “Well, if this doesn’t work out then I can always go back to my old job,” then you WILL NOT MAKE IT.

5. Give First, Give Freely, Give Often

One of Dale Carnegie’s methods of winning friends and influencing them is to talk about what they want and show them how to get it. People are always thinking, “What’s in it for me?”

His advice, “arouse in the other person an eager want. He who can do this has the whole world with him. He who cannot walks a lonely way.”

The best way to build your reputation as a leader and an authority figure in to give valuable content, advice, and strategy away freely and to do it often. This is one of the most effective network marketing secrets there is.

Once you are consistent with this strategy, you will begin to build rapport with your followers and people will be asking you for help. Then you are positioned to offer your services to them or they will simply ask you for your join link.

For beginners, the best way to start is by using Facebook and consistently posting a combination of value posts, personal posts, and then promotional posts (promotional posts to a much lesser extent).

Other methods include giving away free products on your blog (eBook or video tutorial), offer free strategy on your YouTube channel, and having all-killa, no-filla blog posts like this one :).

6. Be Where Your Target Audience Is

Take the time to identify your perfect avatar, or in other words, who is the perfect buyer for the product or service that you are selling. What is their age range, income level, gender, geographic location, where do they hang out online, etc.

Once you identify their popular hangouts, then make sure you are building a presence in those communities. It could be certain Facebook pages or groups, forums, Instagram, YouTube, local community hangouts (bookstores, gyms, churches),  and networking events.

Wherever they are, you need to be. You can use Facebook graph search to narrow down your search and find laser-targeted leads pertaining to your business.

One classic site to find locals who are interested in the same things as you is

7. Form Relationships FIRST, Sell Second

The most obvious secret that most network marketers forget about is that this industry is a relationship based business. Stop looking at people as dollar signs and start connecting with them like regular human beings.

Too many people are eager to pull the trigger and send out that join link before a relationship has been formed. Hell, sometimes people don’t even take the time to craft one thoughtful message to send me before spamming their link to my inbox.

Why would I want to parter up with you if you didn’t even take 5 minutes to get to know me or what my pain points were?

Another title for network marketer is solution provider. When I am looking for potential prospects to invite into my business, I first take the time to get to know that individual and then I try to find out if there is any problems or pains that I can GENUINELY help them solve.

If my service cannot do them justice, then I will try to point them in the right direction to a person or resource that may be a better fit. Karma points people.

Once you identify their problems you can kindly offer your services to help them. This process could happen very quick or it may take time to develop.

I’ve brought people into my business within 5 minutes, and others it took longer than a week. You have to feel the person out and stay in contact with them.

8. Believe 100% In the Product that You Represent

A legendary network marketer by the name of Mark Hoverson once said that there are three guidelines he uses to evaluate whether a product is worth selling or not.

  1. Does the product on its own feel good for a buyer? Meaning, if they join and they NEVER make money, they still win because the product that they bought has so much value. Examples of this could be a travel destinationmembership or a product that contains never-ending business wisdom.
  2. If I market this product, is it a platform that will allow me to achieve my dreams for myself and my family? Does the product have high-stick and high-profit margins that will give you the power to create your dream lifestyle?
  3. Do I like the people who are in the community promoting it with me? Are you vibing with the other members and the leaders of your company?

If you can stand behind your product/service 100% after answering these three questions honestly, then you have found the right opportunity for you.

9. Get Specific With Your Goals

I am willing to bet that more than half of the network marketers in the industry don’t have super-defined goals that they are pursuing. They probably have arbitrary goals like, “I want to make a lot of money,” or “I want to quit my job.”

Well that is great, but what is a “lot of money” mean to you? And how much do you need to make to quit your job?

If these targets aren’t defined then you will be chasing an invisible finish line. Instead, fixate your mind on a specific amount of money. The Universe acts as a mirror. Put your precise intention out there and you will receive it back.

smart goals

10. Be Consistent

Consistency is more so a life secret and not just a network marketing secret. It is the way to achieving anything in life. If you want to be successful at anything, then you must put in the daily practice to get there.

You CANNOT do the right things on a consistent basis and get the wrong results. Read that 10x over again.

People are quick to point the finger and accuse their mentor, training, or product for their lack of results.

Obviously, that is ridiculous because there are people making a lot of money inside every network marketing business. The accuser is playing the victim role and not taking responsibility for their lack of effort and consistency.

The Bottom Line

If you take heed on these 10 juicy network marketing secrets then you are positioning yourself to see success in this industry, and it all starts with #1 on the list — modeling, or finding the right mentors.

Partnering up with the right mentors was the main reason why I got off to such a fast-start. I knew what to do and what not to do from the very beginning.

This was the mastermind group that kicked started everything for me.
