10 Network Marketing Recruiting Tips (#7 Is My Favorite)

August 6, 2015 1 Comment

Do you struggle with recruiting people into your network marketing business or getting people to buy your products and services?

This post and video will help.

I share the first 5 network marketing recruiting tips in this article and the last 5 in my video.

#7 is the most powerful one.

When I first got started, I had a tough time getting people to join my business. I would get people hooked and asking questions, but I didn’t know how to seal the deal.

I realized I wasn’t identifying people’s needs and then positioning my products and services as the solution.

See, people buy in anticipation to the way they will feel using your product. You have to play off this emotional anticipation and paint a picture in their head of the future result.

These tips apply to any selling situation: on the phone, in person, or online (Facebook post, Blog post, YouTube video, Email, etc.)

So without further ado, here’s the first 5 of those needs.

Network Marketing Recruiting Tips #1-5

Everyone wants more money. Whenever you can link your product or service to making or saving money to the customer, you will have his attention.

This is a fundamental need.

Most people feel if they have enough money they will be completely secure. Although the need for money is “hard and cold” the need for security is “warm and personal,” so play off that.

Being Liked

Everyone wants to feel accepted, liked by others, respected and admired by the people around us. This satisfies our deep need of belonging and self worth.

How much does your product affect someones need to being liked?

Status and Prestige

We want to feel and be perceived as important and valuable. We want people to look up to us and praise our possessions and accomplishments.

When you can structure the offering of your product/service to enhance someone’s personal prestige, you can touch on this deep human need and can offer trigger buying desire.

Health and Fitness

We all want to be healthier, be thin and fit, and we want these same health benefits for our families. If your product/service can enhance the physical life of your prospect in a cost-effective way, people who are tired/overweight/have aches and pains will be extremely interested in talking to you.

Was that helpful?

You don’t have to use every single on of these tips every time, but try to embed one or two of them. The more often you apply these buying impulse triggers the more naturally you will use them without thinking about it.

So choose 1 of these network marketing recruiting tips and focus on using it the rest of the week, and then next week choose a different one.

My best recruiting tips are to learn how to get people to contact you first by using good marketing. I also believe in sponsoring up, looking for people who don’t necessarily need the business, but will do it. My final tip is to have a good follow up system in place so you can stay in touch with each person you show the plan. Most people I sponsor take anywhere from 30 to 90 days before they make the decision to come on board. Crazy but true. Nice blog you got here, Tim.
