Clickbank University Review (CBU): Don’t Join Before Reading This

If you want to learn the basics of making money online then keep reading this Clickbank University review.

In a nutshell, Clickbank University teaches the average person how to make money online using affiliate marketing and creating your own info products.

Affiliate marketing is simply selling someone else’s product in exchange for a monetary commission.

This is where most internet marketers start their journey, and Clickbank University provides training to get you started on the right track.

Clickbank University Review: What Training is Included?

CBU has basic training for newbies and more advanced training.

CBU Basic Training

  • creating your first product
  • packaging your product
  • creating sales pages & upsells
  • pricing products and creating funnels
  • building an email list
  • leveraging JV partners and more

CBU Advanced Training

  • turning visitors into subscribers
  • advanced selling strategies
  • split testing and conversions
  • JV traffic and social media
  • paid advertising and search engine optimization

Clickbank University is more designed for the affiliate marketing beginner.
However, more experienced marketers might not get as much benefit.

One discouraging element of Clickbank University is the speed at which you can progress through the training.

You’re only allowed to go through 1-week of training per week. I assume this was to reduce information overload, but for someone who wants to move faster will feel frustrated.

Purchasing Clickbank Universtiy for $47 a month will get you started on the right track and will keep everything step-by-step.

In fact, here is are 5-step guide on how to get started with making money online.

Step 1.) Create a Blog

A blog is how you build your brand online.

People buy from people they like, love, and trust. A blog lets you showcase your uniqueness.

It’s also how you publish your content, sell your products and/or services, and get found in the search engines.

Every marketer should have a blog, so here’s a sweet tutorial I put together.

Step 2.) Create Content

Focus on creating high quality content that serves your audiences’ needs.

Forums are a great resource to discover what your target audience is starving for.

Create content that solves people pains and problems. Teach people how to get what they want.

This is called doing keyword research. Find out what people are searching for in search engines and in forums and then create content around that.

Step 3.) Market and Advertise Your Content

You can create the best content in the world, but if no one finds it then it’s worthless.

Start building a following on social media, forums, and wherever else your audience hangs out. That way you can share your content there.

You can also build backlinks to your blog posts so that they rank higher in the search engines. This is a search engine optimization (SEO) tactic.

Step 4.) Build an Email List

Your primary goal is to get people to subscribe to your email newsletter so that you can market to them later on via email.

If you don’t capture their email then you might never get the chance to follow up with them later. Consequently, missing out on a potential customer.

Make it easy for your visitors to subscribe by offering a free gift in exchange for punching in their email.

You also want to have multiple opt-in boxes scattered around your blog, such as end-of-post opt-ins, middle of post opt-ins, sidebar opt-ins, etc.

Every subscriber on your list is worth at least $1, so build that email list!

Step 5.) Keep Giving Value

Most beginners make the mistake of not following up with their list.

You want to remain active with your audience. Keep posting new blog posts and/or videos. Email your list every day or every other day.

It takes 7+ followups before a lead converts into a sale. If you are not following up with your list, then you are leaving money on the table.

Teach them new things, provide testimonials, inspire them, and build a personal relationship with them.

They are real people, and people buy from others who they like and trust, so follow my email marketing tutorial here.
